The Goodbye Girl (2018) Film Review

The Goodbye Girl (2018)

Found out that this film existed while working on Flower Boy which is also directed by Aidey Pugh. Took me a while but I finally got round to watching it today. unlike Flower Boy I was unlucky and didn’t get to help out on this film, but would have loved to work on this.

This is a great film, that is gritty, hard hitting, heartfelt and a bit mysterious. This film has a great cast some of which have cameos in Flower Boy (2020) it also has a great script. It is good to see local british talent doing their thing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it left me wanting more… The Goodbye Girl tells the story of a six year old girl who seems to predict (or cause?) a series of deaths whilst praying. Is it just coincidence – or is something more sinister at work? And as the body count rises how will one of her family react when they hear the little girl forecast their own death? – Aidey Pugh

Flower Boy (2020) Update/Film Review

Flower Boy (2020)

After two years in the making Flower Boy is now out for the public to watch, Check it out on Amazon Prime. I really enjoyed working on Flower Boy and working with all the cast and crew, I hope to be able to help out on Aidey’s next film/project.

It made me angry and heartbroken in equal measures, the actors and acresses executed their roles brilliantly, especially Reece & DanniThis film also has a guest appearance from ‘Mushy’ (Channel 4’s ‘Educating Yorkshire’).

Flower Boy is the story of a young schoolboy who is relentlessly bullied by a vicious girl gang, who seeks refuge working as a Flower Shop. However a theft during a house party sets in motion a chain of events which spiral out of control – changing the lives of the bullies and their victim forever.

Directed by Aidey Pugh and Starring Reece Berresford (Flower Boy), Danni Shepherd (Loretta), Mushy Asghar (Himself).

WB Studio Tour London, The Making of Harry Potter (2019)

Warner Bros Studio Tour Website

29th October 2019

Me and my mum went to London, this was the Tuesday before Halloween so the studio had a “Dark Arts” theme running throughout the tour. This is also the first time I’ve been to The WB Studio Tour, London. Priour to going to the studio I made some homemade Pumpkin Pasties, I made some sweet and savory pasties. They were very tasty if I don’t say so myself. This was a belated Birthday present from my mum, she also drove us there which took us just under three hours to get there. When we got there I was super happy and excited as I had been wanting to go for years and finally got the chance to go. We are both Harry Potter fans so this was very enjoyable for both of us.

We also had an additional session called “Behind The Seams” which was great, I enjoyed it so much. This session included a presentation from Ciaron one of the lovely staff members at the studio, he showed us some of the costumes worn by various actors from the Harry Potter films. The costmes were amazing to see they included Harry’s Hand-Me-Down from Dudley, Luna’s Slug Club Christmas Party Dress, Harry’s Quidditch Kit, Mad Eye Moody’s Jacket/Coat, Professor Sprout’s robes, Voldermort’s robes, just to name a few of them.

At  the end of this session we got a chance to try on actual robes that were used in the Final film (The Deathly Hallows Pt2) This was one of the best parts of the tour. I think I would have been a Hatstall as am a bit of a mix bag when it comes to which house I would have been in if I had gone to Hogwarts so I tried on a Hufflepuff robe, while my mum tried on a Slytherin robe. Acording to Wizarding World Site (Pottermore) I’m a Ravenclaw and my mum is a Slytherin

The studio met and over took my expectations, in fact it was awesome. There is so much to see that I didn’t get too see it all. I think next time I will get more time to look around as I won’t be doing the “Behind The Seams” again. I can’t wait to go again during Christmas time. Of corse I could’t go all that was without getting some souvenirs which were a two Honeydukes lollipops, a real Chocolate Frog and Wizard Card (Salazar Slytherin) and a Ceramic trinket Chocolate Frog box.
